Painted Mooring

Hi,

Not sure if I am posting this in the correct area, yes its boats but have played with the image quite a bit.

First did HDR to it then tried to soften the image to make it look as thought it was "painted in a way" I hope that is the best description to describe what I was trying to do.

tried to soften the image I don't think it works. My eyes want to go to the sharp parts of the image, which means that the two boats are just in the way?
I'm not saying that this is the way to go, but search Marie for other options:

no, don't soften an image.... well, the focal point, IE the boats.... Background would have been ok as long as its a litte soft and not fairytale soft.

looks like it is a great shot.

But you have messed it up badly. Not digging the blur at all. My eyes try to focus the boats in the foreground, and it nearly gives me a headache.

Thanks for the feed back everyone, it was a little experiment and I think I will not go down this path again.
