Need some inputs on how you attach your tripod to the bag. The bag has a tripod attachment at the bottom, but its too small to take in my 3001. Plus the tripod may be a bit long at 30" with the head.

Have any of you guys managed to attach the tripod vertically on this bag?

I've got same, and carried the tripod under a few times, but it's certainly not a quick access method. Also, I haven't tried to mount it vertical. I still use a rope strap I made 20 years ago for my tripod and sling it over my shoulder like a guitar.

My brother has a Lowe bag that has a fold down flap that the feet of the tropd sit in, and then a strap to secure the top. He's not thrilled with the design because he has to undo the tripod to get into the bag to grab a toy. Not sure if there is a perfect system out there.
