Just kind of curious to see what you all thought was the better of these two photos. I woke up on Saturday morning to see a slight dusting of snow on the ground. I grabbed my 400D and my Tokina 80-400 and took a few shots from my kitchen window. I used the first photo for my project 365 photo today and just posted the second photo on my blog for fun. Here's a link to both blog entries, Project 365 for today (http://www.slightlylessthanawesome.com/journal/2010/2/1/fresh-tracks.html) and extra photos (http://www.slightlylessthanawesome.com/journal/2010/2/1/snow-overhead.html).

The first is much nicer because it has the four sets of parallel lines nicely placed together, while in the second you ditch the closest track and make it harder to see the tire tracks.
The middle track isn't quite straight in the first one. I'm sure that's due to terrain, but I wouldn't shy away from forcing it in Photoshop.

The first has something about it. It's fresh. Shapes, lines, texture, subdued colors - all work well together for me in a nice balance. Thank you.

I think I've come around. I loved the second one because of that contrasting yellow square on the train car, but I think the entire scene with the tire tracks on the first is just so cool lol. I'm definitely liking the first better now. That photo is one nice part about living 9 stories above the train tracks.
