With my little one at scholl and time on my hands i took a stroll through town (Nottingham).
Because i wanted to travel light i only took my 70-200 but as you will see on a couple of shots it was just too long. Whats a guy to do? I usually just take my 17-40 on walk abouts but thats always too short!! I feel a 24-70 may be heading this way pretty soon!

Anyway to the pics :

A classic panda car peeking around a corner.

Someone left the light on!

And then i came across this character who was jumping over frames covered in knives. It was a shame he didn't set up in the sun and not the only shade for miles around! He gave the silly pose because he spotted my lens peeking through the crowd.
I did get a shot of him mid way through the hoop but it was bad to due the shade, i think the camera was metering for the background. next time i shall use partial metering for this kind of shot.
i think i must have lost the focus on the last one, it seems to be focused on the yellow bag in the background.

Hi Jon, it looks like you had a productive day. I have been taking more street candids lately and have been learning that you have to make the most of what's available. I have found that it makes me think alot faster on my feet and this is part of the fun!

These look pretty good to me!
