Hi folks,

Have had this Sony Touchscreen A-I-O Destop for a couple of weeks and love it...Windows 7 64 Bit...Could not get Canon's software to load and run even with their tech's help...reloaded 3X's and tried all the updates...what would be a good picture editing software that I can run?

I am a novice on computers and a have owned Canon 35mm and Digital for several years but limited to the Green Box...just now trying to get outside the box and have a T1i (sold) and a 7D on the way...

Any suggestions...I don't want software that is over my head and I will not use..I.E. For Pro Photographers...I would like to K.I.S.S. for now...Keep It Simple and Safe!

Thanks in advance!

1) try installing the one that came on the disk
2) if that doesn't work, use the "hack" to modify the registry
3) the above should work, and then you can install the newest version
4) just get LR2, it's easier to use than canon's software, and more powerful.... and $200 more expensive

And lastly, you better not be thinking about using green box on the 7d... If so, cancel the order and get your t1i back, spend the difference on a photography course.

Did and the update as per Canon Rep

Will do just wanted to purchase something that would work on Win 7 64bit

I still have a Sanyo 1010HD - Canon 350D - Sanyo E2 - Panasonic Lumix TSC - Olympus Tough 6000 - Vio-Pov1 Head Cam - Flip Ultra HD so I am camera poor lol...

Can't wait to learn about the 7D...got some high quality lens already so I should manage a few decent shots? and the 30fps HD Video has got to be better than the T1i...it's a joke on the T1i

If you can't learn enough to use at least semi-manual modes for stills, forget about video and just get an HD point and shoot. You'll be happier with the results and ease of use.

Thanks I am getting there...been shooting in other modes also and experimenting...think I'll go with your suggestion on the LR2...I can actually destroy an Anvil with a Glass Hammer! I sure don't want to mess around with the registry on this Sony...

Got a few decent shots with the 7D today and 100-400...and a few with 17-55...man the 7D has more controls, knobs, whistles, and bells on it than a 747!
