largest carry on picture frame?

A friend of mine want to travel oversea and bring a picture in a frame.
So, What's the biggest dimension for a carry on of a picture frame?

Depends on the airline. I wouldn't think it can be any bigger than their max. carry-on size.

Definitely something that is going to vary from carrier to carrier. They need to contact whoever they would be traveling with and get the details from them. Obviously things can get complicated if they have to change planes/carriers in mid-trip....particularly if it is an international flight.
