Hi all -
I've been away for a couple weeks but it's great to be back!!! Because I missed you all so much, I posting some pictures for you from my friends' lake house this past weekend. As always, criticisms and comments are more than welcome.
I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed shooting them!

well i'm new here, and well i know you didn't ask for it but i'll give you a little critique, i know i always appreciate it, so i (sometimes unfortunately) assume others want it also.
pic 1 and 2: good shots, but on both of them the right side is too dark, i'd say just use a reflector, of foam core to give a little bit more light to the side there, and the sun off the lake feels really distracting to me, maybe darken it a little in PS
pic 3: i like, good composure
pic 4: i like it a lot, if anything i'd take PS and darken them more, i'd rather see it as more a straight silhouette. the lines of his arms and their ears, are distracting and leave you straining to see if you're missing something. i'd say darken them more and it shouldn't distract anymore.
pic 5: this one is ok, there isn't much special about it, so i don't have much to say....
pic 6: I LOVE this one!!! great action shot!!
pic 7: another great shot, evokes a lot of emotion!!!
well i hope my critiques were welcome, if not i'm sorry. ;)
as just family album pics they are great and more skilled than most, but if you go more for an artistic, perfectly composed pic, my opinions are as above. and they are just taht they are my unproffecional opinions! happy shooting!!!

Looks like a fun time.
Good range of images here...a little glamour, a little sports, a little scenery. Makes me want to go on vacation. :-)
Well done!

Very nice shots ... you did good.
I really like the sunlight reflection in the water in the first one.
And it never hurts to have a pretty girl there, either
Best regards,
Andy

For #1&2, didn't have any reflectors . . . only fill flash (which I obviously didn't use enough of). I was screwing around with the girls and told them to try to "look sexy" before I snapped the pictures. They came out decent, but a little darker than I wanted. Actually, if you had seen the difficulty I'd been having in recent weeks with shooting in the blaring sun, these pictures came out tons better. Saturday was the 1st day that I didn't have any blown skintones
thanks for your comments!!!

All of these are stunning... Love em.. some more than others, but Im really impressed. Pictures I aspire to be able to take. My favourites are:
4th Soloutte shot. Great, sort of picture I would cherish if it was of me & my wife
6th I LOVE water shots, seing the water swell around the jet ski with a big plume of spray behind softened by a splash of sunset on the water... just awesome!
Thanks for sharing... I feel like throwing my camera away now ;-)
