I love this shot as it to be honest but I have not cleaned the stuff from the bonnet nor I have straightened the reflection of the trees on the windscreen. Was wondering if you guys agree with me in leaving these feats on to keep the image looking natural or shall I edit them out? I can't decide!

The thing behind the car seems like it's not part of the car. That makes it a distraction. The reflection on the windshield looks like it's from a different place than the dark setting would suggest.

It's a stylish looking shot. However, assuming that this is a complete vehicle, the lack of wheel definition irritates the hell out of me.

Someone pinched the wheels... It is on blocks and he doesn't want us to see that. :)
If the thing at the back is a spoiler than we should be able to see how it is attached. Same goes for the wheels. Just a faint outline or a highlight on a rim - but there is no information whatsoever. That bothers me more than the bonnet and the windscreen.

Same things are bothering me. Also... the style of the shot does not go with the stuff on the windshield or the bonnet. High contrast... clean.

Let me make it unanimous. ^^ +1 ^^
And, just in addition to all this, the front of the car is uncomfortably close to the edge of the frame. You have three times the room behind the back fender than you do in front of the front fender. Compositionally bad. Since it is a black background, shouldn't be any trouble to open the right side up a bit and give the car some room to breathe.

I consider myself to be pretty into cars...especially BMW's, VW"s and Audi's(im a mod over at c3cars)
this shot is perfect-the R8 looks sinister...as it should, and always will.

Thanks for the comments guys :)
In regards to the wheels, I couldn't even see them when I was taking this shot!
The car was racing in Goodwood Festival of Speed and the shadow of the trees that the car was driving under on the track was pretty dark!
The wheels were hidden from my sight behind the barrier on the side of the track.
The black background is my own creation as there were far too many distracting elements there.
The difference between the gap in the front and the rear of the car to the edge of the frame is the spoiler that is sticking out!
The carbon spoiler is black and it obviously blends with the rest of the black background! :p
oh and before I forget, that thing on the back is a Spoiler; it gives the car a decent downforce I think around 100kg @ around 70-90 mph!

I say clean it up a lot...
It totally looks like a staged studio shot but I've never seen a studio open to the sky with trees overhead. To me, this causes a major disconnect.

^^^ +1 ^^^
I like it too; though I'm not into cars generally in a big way, I do enjoy watching a Murcielago or DB9 slide past. I like the spoiler being disconnected... there is indeed a moment of doubtful contemplation, but the Audi rings make it unambiguously part of the car and let the viewer feel satisfied by the association. I particularly like the way the front headlights are captured.
As Rad says, editing in some room to the right would help... maybe even a smidge underneath.
Cheers,
Tony
