Olympus PEN E-PL1

(I suppose it would include the S90 too, though more directly the G11, seeing as they are more similar in size. But, if a small format, large sensor camera had of been around when I was buying the S90 I may well have gone with it - the smaller the better, so went S90 over G11, but if the G11 had of had a larger sensor, I would likely have chosen it instead - and by extension would likely have chosen the E-PL1, given it's size, sensor size, and interchangeable lenses - I think I could have put up with the slight extra bulk.)

Nice camera but there is a big difference in price between the two isn't there?

G11's are at $450 on Amazon right now, with a list of $499. E-PL1 is list $599. I'd say it will settle around the $550 mark, though that is just a guess. $100 isn't that much difference, especially for the specs, and the potential for expanding it later.

That's not a bad price difference. When I first checked BH the E-P1 came up and it's 799. When I went back and rechecked the price I came up with the right camera, the EPL1 and it's only 599.
Like I said before it is a nice looking camera and it would be hard to choose between it and the G11. I think I'd that the E-PL1.

kudos to olympus. this is exactly what the 4/3 sensor should have been used for in the first place.

Great for the P&S crowd, but for me, the lack of an aperture/shutter wheel makes it unappealing.

Another great camera from Olympus. I like their glass, even the kit lenses are amazing http://img2.pict.com/f8/50/11/2674402/0/21.gif

although not quite as portable as g11, when you include the lens, I am considering getting this with the included kit lens and maybe one of their fast primes for a super portable backup to my 5dII, and selling my g10. the only added advantage of g10 is that it works with my flash guns.
