I took this of our son and I'm not sure which looks better.
The one on the left is the original.
CC much needed and appreciated.

Definately the one on the right. I tend to prefer 'warmer' shots.

The one on the right - deffo. When you say the one on the left is the original, do you mean it's taken straight from the RAW with no correction? It almost looks like the one on the right has just had the white balance corrected.

The only edit I made to the original is I added a very light(barely noticeable) vignette. WB was untouched straight out of camera (RAW).

I honestly prefer the one of the left. I don't really like either, I think an in between can be had, but the one on the left out of the two. The face looks better on the right, but everything else looks bad. The snow looks white, the jacket and hat lose their color.

I agree with themadman, the one on the left looks more natural to me. I think you could "warm" the skintones on the left a little without going quite so far as the one on the right.

I agree with the above. The skin tone is nicer on the right but everything else is too yellow. Maybe something in between?

I would try a B&W treatment?

If you're using LR, take the adjustment brush to the one on the right and desaturate the snow.
Then at least you get to keep the warm skin tone but still fix the yellow snow.

* * * but still fix the yellow snow.
Sorry, but this reminded me of a Frank Zappa song. ;)

neither are neutral - the left has too little green and the right has too much green
this is what auto-color did to the original

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it. Basically with the one on the right, I was trying to add some artificial sun to the shot, but as everyone has mentioned........... it was a bit too much, especially in parts of the jacket.
Flo:
I tried B&W as well but decided to keep it color in the end.
Elisha:
I was using Aperture, not Lightroom

The left one looks natural. The right one has gray snow and the skin tones are not natural.

Here's another shot at an edit, showing before/after. I used the color balance adjustment in Photoshop and added a slight bit of contrast with a curves layer. I also converted to sRGB color profile for web display.
