Hiked back to a waterfall where I had taken some pretty good pictures a few weeks ago. I was taking some friends back to the same spot to let them see it in person. Unfortunately, with a rather dry spell before this last visit, there wasn't much water rolling over the rocks.
Deciding to make the best of a photo-op gone bad, I snapped on the Tamron lens and put it in macro mode. Amazing what kind of subject matter you can find just a few feet from your lens.

I really like the yellow leaf, that's a pleasing background it's placed against. Nice lizard shot, although if the opportunity presented itself, I would have walked around and shot him from the front also. Of course, the little critters don't always cooperate.

After I shot the lizard a couple of times, one of the fellows with me asked me something that sounded like he wanted to take a picture or two. I told him to go ahead. What he was really asking me is if he could have a shot at catching the critter and ended up scaring him off.
I like the leaf shot, too. It smacks of something that someone would arrange before taking a photo, but that was how everything was situated when I came upon it. I just noticed, too, that I didn't enable sharpening when saving the output file from RSE, so that's essentially how it came from the camera.
