Not sure where these should go, but decided they are more landscapes than nature. Anyway, these were taken on the Kebler Pass Road outside of Crested Butte. That town claims to be the wildflower capital of colorado, so that's why we're here.

Stan, you have just beaten me to it - I was just about to go out and do something very similar to your first one - nice image...

Beautiful images, Stan....really like the birches among the purple flowers.

I get soo confused. :-) :-)

I like the color the best in the first picture. Great pictures.

Nice shots Stan! I can see #2 benefit from a CPL or ND filter. Just my opinion.

Thanks for your comments guys. David, go ahead and do what you planned. Heck, I did several very much the same. BTW, Steve, the trees are aspens and the flowers are lupines (which come in several colors, but mostly blue). Anthony, I suspect the deep saturation in #2 doesn't appeal to you, and that's fine. We all have different tastes in color. cfc, you are correct that the polarizing filter is responsible for good color saturation. I just keep it on all my landscape lenses all the time. It really helps with flowers and those deep blue skies with white clouds.

I did Stan - I did it as a four-portrait shot panoramic which I don't feel as worked as well as yours did but please judge for yourself. :( BTW - The flowers are Foxgloves.

Stan,

#1 is fantastic. It's a wall hanger.

Looks like your trip is going well. Good luck finding more photos.

David, it's a lovely shot and a nice job of stitching.

Thanks, Dave, the trip is going very well Each day I take more photos than I can look at or edit. Right now I'm two days behind, but we're going out again tomorrow. Thank goodness for large memory cards and hard drives.
