I am having trouble getting consistent good pictures with my S230. I have a lot of blurry ones and any movement in the scene will be blurry for sure. I've tried different speeds but usually leave it on auto. Nothing seems to make much difference.
Help!

hi, try setting your camera to manual mode:
turn on AIAF,set iso to 100,set flash to redeye(icon of an eye)leave white balance on auto, leave exposure compensation to zero, switch resolution to M1 or M2,set compression to superfine, switch off long shutter mode, and be careful when pressing the shutter button.press halfway first till it beeps, meaning it has focused and has set proper metering, then lightly press fully to shoot without moving the camera,if you have a tripod, use it.even in the daytime shots that you do, use the redeye flash or the always flash mode(icon of a lightning bolt).hope this helps .. happy shooting ....pc

One more thing. Manual says that AIAF is for a simple shooting conditions. Actually, I permanently switched it off. Use center focusing - point to desired object, half press - focus, then move camera for desired composition and shoot.

How do you turn off long shutter mode?
