What Focus Screen ??

Hi..I am going to purchase a new focus screen (some how it got scratched:mad:) I have a 30D. At the present time I am using a Tamron 28-300 lens AF XR Di...I will be buying a 90 to 110mm Macro in the future.

What would you much more knowlegable photograghers than I recomend...I do like to use manual focus at time..

If you're willing to spend $100 to $200 US for a screen, the Katz Eye screens are excellent. The split image screen makes manual focusing much more accurate - I have one in my 30D. I also got the grid lines and Optibrite, which brought the price to $200.

Downside is you lose the use of spot metering - this doesn't bother me, but no doubt it's a deal-killer for some.
