I'm looking for a compact camera bag that can accommodate a 5D2 with 24-105L attached. Something like a Crumpler 6MDH or Tamrac Express 7.

It would be used when out hiking, and this weekend in particular that could mean I get rained on, possibly heavy at times. What are my options? I need to pick up something today.

I'd say, a Think Tank UD 40 or a Lowepro Classified 160.

Good luck!

LowePro makes a number of designs in differing size versions, with the AW designation (All Weather hood, which stores hidden and can be unfolded over the whole bag in downpours. Go visit their website.

I use the Lowepro Pro Mag AW. Two things I really like is the shoulder strap which is heavily padded and thus very comfortable and the fact that you can attach the Lowepro lens cases to the bag for more room when needed. I have never used the AW feature so I can't comment on how ell that feature works.

All Lowepro AW bags totally rock...my favorite that would fit what you're looking to hold would be a Nova 170aw, or if you're looking for something with a little bit more room to grow:

The Stealth Reporter Series is my favorite camera bag series. Ever.

That's what I have, too.

Check out the LowePro Stealth Report 100 or 200 for your camera and lens. I believe both have rain covers too. I have the 100 and 400 and they are both wonderful.

in addition to the AW cover, they both have top access zippers which are water sealed (water resistant, and the whole bag is made of water resistant ballistic nylon).
