After setting custom WB, Can I delete image?

I am shooting a swim meet tonight, and am going to have to set Custom WB for sure. After I do this, can I delete the image being used for the WB or do I have to keep it on the CF card to be used.

I will also be shooting RAW + Large to give quick proofs. So i will fill up my CF card and will need to Format my card after downlaod to my portable storage device.

Will I need to reshoot the White card/ Custom WB or will the info be saved in the camera even after I format the card and erase the image used.

Does the 20D remember the info?

Yes, it's saved. I usually shoot a few shots to get the right exposure, too, & then reformat before I start "shooting". ;-)
