Golden Oldie

I spotted this handsome Golden Retriever cooling off at a local pond, I was struck by the fact although being advanced in age (12), he was still in excellent shape and playful as a puppy. I caught him here as he had just come upon a tiny turtle in the grass.

Thank-you. It's not on his ear. It's an I.D. tag hanging from his collar.

That's a great shot, he's got the body and spirit of a youngster, but the gray beard gives him away.

I was lucky too, in that he had just emerged from the water. So, being soaked, you can see exactly how he is still put together. Excellent substance and muscle tone.
