I was wondering what are you using (or if you are using) to protect the LCD screen??

I'm actually using this plastic screen protector that my old company gave us for our digital camera. It has a 8x10 cropping guide.

I don't. The outer surface is not the screen, it's a screen protector that is easy to replace. It's not that easy to scratch so I don't think there is much need for protecting the protector.

I do, I use clear plastic and fix on to protect. It has a few marks on it so does help.

If I put it down with the back of the camera on a rough surface, I put the strap underneath the camera. That's it. If it gets scratched i'll replace the plastic cover.

Any idea where to find one of those? I don't have much use for the protector part, but an 4:2 cropping guide without replacing the focusing screen would be nice.

Universal Screen Protector.
Cut it to the size you want and put it on.

hey jukas,

I'll sell it to you.... $10 for one. :-D

I got it for free. My old company gave them to us to make our life easier when photographing.

I have never used anything on the LCD covers. I have never scratched one in the nearly 4 years of shooting digital SLRs now.

the hoodman one is ok its nice on bright days but it can be a bit of a pain... you need to close it down or have it poke you in the eye/face if you leave it up and try and use the viewfinder.

I bought a job lot of buttonless satin shirts, they're not exactly en-vogue but they won't chafe the screen.

Well duh... you're supposed to use the eyepiece extender when you use the hood.
