it was only about 3 feet long, and just sat there and looked at us.

that is ugly. I have never seen a turtle like that. But nice shot. Figure out what kind it was yet??

Whoa! I was all ready to defend the poor little turtle... but you're right... he's definately ugly!

You are right, a very large soft-shell. we didnt disturb him. thanks for the kind words.

I regret not taking more trips when I lived in Florida;) To much partying and little exploration of the nature over there :) Very nice shoot though :)

I do, but its not a great shot, the head is in shadow, some might say thats a good thing:rolleyes:
