This was a really challenging photo night for me. I normally take shots during the day in practice where light is rarely an issue. At the SD SX I had to deal with rain, crowds and the first time to shoot in high ISO(1600/3200). I stayed under the cover of the stadium most of the time as I didn't want to get my equip wet at all!! The 1DMkIIn did a good job on the high ISO range! Here are some shots, C&C welcome!!

Thank you! Both races were very good!

I was using a 300 f2.8. Its a great combo with the 1DMkIIn!!

Cool shots. Very good quality for the distance you probably took these at.

think you just sold me on the mkIIn, Only problem is 70-200 F2.8 is longest i have. Would have to make do with my 1.4x + slower SS. Did you apply any noise reduction?

Great captures, especially considering the conditions.

The only noise reduction I used is what is supplyed by LR2. I have the 70-200 f2.8 non IS also. During the day for practices that lens will work incredible, especially with the 1.4x. At night with the lights and in the stands its gonna be tough....just shoot in highest ISO, the IIn can handle it!

Thanks for the comments!

The rain wasn't to bad. I stayed under the upper level protection and still used some rain protection. Thanks for the comments!
