Interesting how the engine has a red ring around it, no?

That ring typically is the turbine/compressor blast area. During a catastrophic failure thats where impacts are expected.

That line is to prevent when the engine is running that ground staff do not walk from behing and past the line, the suction is so strong that is possible to be suck.

The red line is the marker that you don't go past when the engines are running. I worked at yyz as a rampie and luckily never saw it happen but heard the news from other airports when some poor sap would get sucked in.

Every aircraft (almost) have this red line. This is a Westjet 737-700? or -800?

Yep - this was from last February, when I first started shooting aircraft. It's a 737-700.

This is one from last October, landing on 05 at Pearson.

Cool! You seem to be getting A6-EDA a lot at YYZ! What's your gear?

Thanks! This was with a 7D and a 100-400 at 100 (I think the exif is still intact if you want to have a look)

Ok nice man! That's some good equipment you got there! But somehow I wouldn't have guessed you had this equipment bu looking at the photo. But then again, if it was your first time shooting aircraft then it's still good. You just need to PP a bit. Level, Brighten, add contrast and sharpen.

Well, why don't you give fixing it up a shot if you'd like? I'd love to see your take on it.

Nice shot of the A-380 coming in, I have some shots with my point and shoot of it at the gate. The thing is massive inside.

Cool! I had missed this guy a few times before (wrong runway) but everything came together this time. I remember listening on the radio when he called the tower to announce he was over the meadowvale beacon. I looked to the west and couldn't believe the size of the thing compared to other aircraft at that distance!

We had an MD-11 that we worked on and it was pretty big, the A-380 made it look like a toy.

Very nice shot of a beautiful bird! I will miss the MD-11's!
I just edited your photo a bit, tell me if you think it's better ;)
It is oversharpened because it's not the original file. So I made it brighter and added contrast

lol Globeground, Handlex or Swissport?

I worked at Handlex for a couple years and did WS Ramp Lead for a bit on the side when Swissport picked up that contract.
