Honest opinion's please!!! This guy was spinning fire(poi) at a party. Anything that could have made this a little better shot??

The exposure looks pretty close on that. In an "iffy" situation like that, try shooting RAW so you can do some post processing.
If you WANT a longer exposure, be sure that you're on your lowest ISO like 100, & shoot in manual so you can choose the exposure time.
