Thank you! Yeah, one of my favorite shorebirds. Yep, two bands on the leg actually! By now this bird is probably back in the Arctic breeding grounds...amazing creatures! They were feasting on horseshoe crab eggs.

Beautiful! We (an Ornithology class) loved these birds when we went down to VA last month.

Nice capture of the two shorebirds together ngannet. I have not seen one here. The shorebirds here mostly are sandpipers, killdeer, and stilts.
