Hello,

I've bought 350D a few days ago and is still playing with it checking the features and capabilities...

I've had some issues with software installation (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?goto=lastpost&t=61965) that are solved now, but I can't find one very basic thing with the software - is it possible at all to delete images from the camera using my PC?

Using Windows 2000 I have two ways accessing photos on the camera - CameraWindow application and TWAIN driver.

Both in CameraWindow software and in TWAIN driver I can't find any possibility to remove the images - neither manually (like "Delete selected"), nor automatically (while downloading them to PC).

Am I that stupid, or is it a native software feature, or is it some bug with my PC setup?

And, by the way, it's really a pity that Canon doesn't make their cameras USB-mass-storage-compatible like most other brands do...

I don't think you can, from memory. You can delete individually from camera, or with a card reader, but I think the WIA is read only.
I stand to be corrected! ;)

If you want to delete all the images, you would be wiser using the camera to 'format' the card.

It's a good habit to get into anyway.

Thanks - I understand that I can do it on the camera, but is it impossible to do it on the PC?
