just cleaned my 20d sensor with digi-pads and eclipse fluid,verry happy now.i dont know why people make a big deal out of it.its realy easy.here are some before and after pics.
the dirty one is at f18 and the clean one is at f20.

That's difficult to say exactly.
Basically whenever I think it needs it or too many specks to clone out.
Best guess would be every couple of months.

yes ,there was a problem uploading the images.image 1 was too big and it put the second 1
up first.
