not sure many will be too mad about the doctoring of the picture
it's Trafalgar Square in London and the boys were shooting photographs with their mobiles
(while sitting on the lion's back)

Nelson would probably have a mobile today
it's a long way from the real battle http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif which is being highlighted this week

would Nelson put the phone up to his deaf ear?
Yours is the first use of that jagged edge effect I've seen in which the main subjects are not in the center, unjagged part. very interesting composition.

It would be interesting seeing Nelson trying to use a Cell phone.. what with him wearing his scraper "athwartships" in the traditional way, as opposed to the stem to stern that was so fashionable with the young officers of his time... ;)
Happy Trafalger! (isn't it in October though?)

21st of October 1805, yes. For some obscure reason they're having the 200 year celebrations right now, though... I am sure there's a reason.

Intersting photo Marie, Believe it it or not there was a photo in our local paper of the British Navy ships at Portsmith in celebration of the day.

The sky adds lots of drama to this shot. I like the pic, but I don't like the 'special effect'.

This has a neat effect with the people not being in the centre.
