I just upgraded to a lexar professional umda compactflash and sd reader. When I put my card in it the light goes on.I download my card, when the card is done downloading the light doesn't go off.The directions says not to remove card when light is on or blinking. My old card reader the light went out when the card was done downloading.I called lexar and they said it was okay to remove the card when the light is on.My question is why does it say on the bottom of both card readers not to remove card when light is on.What do you think?Thank you.
PS: It is blazing fast.I only have sandisk extreme lll 30mb/s.

You may need to eject the drive before the light goes off.

What kind of computer do you have? If it's running Windows, look in the "System Tray" (where the clock is) for a grey card with a green arrow (in XP at least). Click on that and choose "Safely remove storage device" for the one which corresponds to the reader.

I don't think that's a UDMA card, to get the speeds out of that reader you need a UDMA card too.

Don't sweat it. As long as it is not blinking you can pull the card out. I've done it at least 100 times with that reader.
