where are some nice places to do a car photoshoot in ct preferably near the fairfield county and near new york area. open to all suggestions though.

It's your choice, but I think that busy backgrounds take attention away from the car if the car is your primary subject. This is why they're called "backgrounds"? There's nothing wrong about shooting it in a cool location, but I think that at least one shot of a series should make it look as good as possible & the the center of interest without a lot of distractions?
As I drive around, I watch for locations that will make the car look good in my favorite "late light". Sometimes I'll put my car in them & take a shot for reference. Like in this thread:

And keep in mind that our eyes are drawn to the brighter parts of the shot. And those bright areas tend to make the dark car look even darker. Take a look at POST #30 near the bottom: The gray bar at the center is the same density all the way across.
