I'm new to this forum and offer my apologies if this has already been addressed here.
I'm old Canon FD guy and not a fan of off-brand optics.
I now have a D60 and was none too pleased to find that the Canon 10-22mm is not compatible.
So now I'm looking at the Sigma 12-24. Can anyone tell me if this is a good piece of glass or if I'm just wasting my money.
Any reviews or recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks

Not sure if it's this exact model. The Sigma's can be confusing.
Looks Ok, but not that cheap if it is that one!!
Might be worth looking through the other wide options while you're there.

There are some good and some bad reviews of the lens.
Example for good (http://194.100.88.243/petteri/pont/Reviews/a_Sigma_12-24_f4.5-5.6/a_Sigma_EX_12-24_f4.5-5.6.html)
Example for bad (http://luminous-landscape.com/reviews/lenses/Canon-10-22mm-test.shtml)
There are more alternatives - I know at least about a new Tokina lens in this focal range, don't remember if Tamron also has something.
Best regards,
Andy

All the other lenses in this rang are made for 1.6 or 1.5 APS-C sensors only. The sigma 12-24 is the only one on the market right now that will cast a FULL FRAME image. This may or may not be important to you.

If you do a search of here and fredmiranda.com you'll find lots and lots of discussion about this lens, and the Tokina equilivent, and speculation about the upcoming Sigma 10-20
