What's a better membership to have, if you had to choose?

ASMP or the PPA?

I'm in a position where I would like to join one at this time. I'm just starting my freelance business that will cater towards commercial clients and lean towards higher end consumer clients.

I'm a member of PPA, and there are lots of commercial members of PPA, but it is definitely a portrait/wedding-heavy organization. Depends on which way you really intend to lean, if you're going to limit yourself to one membership or the other. Have you looked at their websites?

Thanks for the responses. I joined the ASMP, I think it will be a better fit for the direction I want to go in.
