Here are a few from a my kids Ta Kwon Do Tournament. The group performing is the Daebul University's Tae Kwon Do Demonstration Team. We had two team members stay with us - really nice students.

Did he jump himself? From floor level? If he did that is seriously impressive.

The little ones are always amazing to watch. So much elevation and speed!
Nice capture!

you can see the guy in the background either throwing him or providing a "launch pad" But althought after being in TKD for almost 15years (on several demo teams) I have witnessed people getting up to 12-15ft by themselves to boardbreak.

Cool beans. Is there a web site where I could get a list of local tournaments?

Check the ATA web site. American Tae Kwon Do Assoc. It's been about a year and a half since I attended classes or a tourney. I left as a 1st degree Black Belt and actually did pretty well in the 40-49 age group at tourneys either in sparring or forms. I loved the sparring aspect. It was a lot of fun, but I wasn't as into photography durning that time as I am now. I got some shots, but nothing great. They are usually a pretty open group and nice people to be around.

Hey!
Finally, another blackbelt haha
I did it too. Very fun, and i was in great shape... I rather miss it, but hey waiting for a year or more for a 2nd Dan isn't worth it lol

The shots are neat, especially for how high that kid can go. I know when we did demonstation we didn't have anyone going that high.

I;ve shot it before, and have to say TKD is hard to shot. bad lighting and fast motion. No to mention alot of back shots when they move around the ring for fighting.
