Took this picture in the north of Holland during a cold, cold day. I just love this style of pictures, although there is hardly anything to see.
Comments appreciated.

Hank-
I love that style of picture as well! Simply stated. There's a name for that, but can't figure out just yet what it is. The style that is. Just went to an art show and there was a painter who's subjects were exactly like the one above. HUGE canvas with mostly sky (very muted) and subjects were always in a field. Either poppies, wheat or whatever, but just enough to tease the eye and make you wonder what's beyond. I think the photo is great! ;-)

Very nice picture. All that empty space, a bit like some Chinese Song dynasty landscape paintings. But different.
I think I might like it with the right hand row of windmills cropped out, just leave the sky and the lefthand row?

I like everything about it. Lots of sky with some clouds in this particular one relate to the windmills in a certain way.

Something I see as rather nice about this picture is that its a square shot, not many of those floating around, most aren't brave enough :)
I love the starkness of it all but the black & white version seems too dark to me and the sky overides the wind towers below.
The way they disappear into the horizon makes me wonder how far they go...
