View Full Version : Grand National Roadster Show @ Pomonoa Fairplex, CA

My friend had a booth at the show, so I went to visit him and capture some of the cars on display. Car shows are always difficult to get clean shots of the cars but I managed to pull some open shots with little amount of people in the back ground. I used Lightroom to edit all the pics, using the local brush tool to darken the backgrounds and brighten up the cars along with some local sharpening and saturation. 580EX II used on 3,7 & 8., all other were with out a strobe.

Let me know what you think about the darkened background. I tried to hide all the nonsense like people, booths and so on.

Great shots. I'm just wondernig how long it takes to clean the spokes in the first pic.

Thanks, I don't know but I wouldn't want to do it.

Good shots from it. using the local brush tool to darken the backgrounds and brighten up the cars I'm seeing a bit of halo around some of them. Try selecting it before you make the changes to the background, inverting that selection, & then making the change with a Layer > New Adjustment layer so you can adjust the background exposure independent of the car:

Thanks for the link. I will look into it. I just did a quicky in LR didn't run them into CS4.
