Lee, This instantly made me think of the old cartoon "Snoopy & The Red Baron". Great shots of this old Triplane. :D

These are pretty neat to find them actually flying too. I know I've never seen one in person, so thanks for posting this. :D
Looking at your photos of this Foker, the brace between the landing gear appears to be a small wing as well. :cool:

Hmm.. the first thought would be that this is just for aerodynamics...
... but now that you mention it, the TriPlane has 4 wings!!!

STOP THE PRESSES!! (always wanted to say that.)

We have to re-write the history books!!! :lol:
(wouldn't THAT be fun!)

I can see the headlines now:

"Scandal!! German Engineers Fool The World!! TriPlane turns out to be QuadPlane!"
