I've posted several individual flower shots, but none of the gardens themselves. So I thought I take some wider shots to give you an idea of what can be done in a modest city lot. These are really just different views of the yard. If anyone has any suggestions on better angles, go ahead, but these are really just snapshots of the way I see the yard.

Ok, the first is from the sidewalk. To orient yourself, these were taken in the evening, and my house faces South.

And a bonus pic, for taking the time.

Thanks, Maureen. It's my funky little Cape Cod, disguised as a ranch. The first pic really shows off the weird addition.

DanThanks, Dan. It's a tiny house, but I like it. You should see my water bill....I wish I could pay in weeds.

Lovely garden. I'm glad to see a rose in that secret part!

Thanks Ginni77. I am told by my neighbors that those roses are about 40 years old. They were neglected for many years, and have taken some time and work to bloom.

I thought I'd post some pictures of the weeping larch's fall colors. This is a deciduous conifer - a little unusal - an evergreen that isn't always green. These aren't the most interesting pictures, I just wanted to show the color change.

Well, I missed winter. It's my birthday today, and late last week, a present from my parents was delivered. Very exciting stuff.

Yep, that's a few cubic yards of topsoil! Here is where this dirt will eventually live.

Happy Birthday. :) I remember getting 5 tonnes of top soil and the guy delivered it to the front and just lifted the tipper. I then had to wheelbarrow the whole lot of it to the back. :(

Nice little spread you have there and some great shooting material. You don't even need to leave the yard to get great shots, I am so jealous.
