View Full Version : Canon S2 IS - fast zoom is screeching

Hello!

Sorry for English.

I buy my photo two days ago and I noticed that every time when I use fast zoom i get a screetching sound. But not allways. If I move it in and out the sound is gone after few zooming. The sound is calling for a little oil. Of course I will not use it.

Is this normal or should I return the photo?

On my S1 there is no screeching sound. Something must be wrong. I would exchange it if I were you.

Hello!

Thanx! I will because I also find one black dust dot on photos which cannot be cleaned out. Must be inside optics because is not allways visible. They tell me that they will change it but I will have to wait because only two of them is in my country and one of them is mine which was used for promotional from our Canon distributor.

So I will have to wait one month. I go to holliday so the waiting will be faster and I will try to avoid to shot with dust dot visible.

Otherwise it's AWSOME camera and I have no cons so thanx Canon for the best photo I ever had.
