Old Stump in the Woods

I came across this old stump in the woods and thought it miight make an interesting photo,so after a little post processing in PS Elements to change the lighting here is the end result.

Nice capture; the forest looks very lush despite the dead wood subject.

Have you tried a black-and-white conversion?

Nice. I'd have tried it in the bottom left corner using the rule of 1/3s, but maybe not practical.
