Get him the 150-500 OS if you find one, much better IMHO

Thanks maybe I should rent that lens and he can see if it's what he wants. Thanks for the imput.
Right now Oregon is soggy and nasty.......we're suppose to have 3 days in the 60's so very excited about that.
We're headed to Death Valley for a month can't wait for the warmth
