Photo Shoot Advice

I'm off to shoot a still functional Benedictine Monastery on the weekend. I'm not much into architectural photography so any suggestions or sites to visit that would have similar shots to give me some ideas of what people look for.

I'm doing it for a project for a friend who is doing a tourism website for the happy bald chaps in robes so anything "touristy" would be suited.
