So I just tried using noise ninja for the first time and it said that because a liscense wasn't detected that all images would be water marked. Sure enough, it's water marking them! What do I do about this? I thought this was supposed to be free software...

As far as I know you have to purchase the license. I personally believe its a small price to pay for how much I use it and what it can do

Technically, yes, the software is free. They market it that way so you can try it out and see the results on your screen. It only costs money if you actually decide you want to use it (save or print the files it creates).

It's not very expensive compared to all the other costs associated with digital photography, and you can buy the personal license initially and upgrade to the pro version later by paying the difference. The batch processing capability of the pro license makes it worth the money.
