Nothing professional or published, just my car with 360 Forged Wheels and my attempt to create an "ad" for 360 Forged. I'm trying to do this as a side/profession and just getting started. Any comments are aprecaited!

Doesn't do anything for me. Too centered is the biggest reason.

Isn't that lawsuit still going on over 360 Forged. Rusted center caps or something? Thought they were going out of business.

furthest from the truth. your looking at post on forums made a year ago.

new owner, new direction, excellent customer service

(no I'm not apart/employed by 360 Forged)

The wheel looks good. I'd frame it tighter & maybe wouldn't have cut it off with the fender.

reminds me of vossen's ads.. I like vossen's pics.

^^^This.

The main focus of the ad is going to be the wheels, so I wouldn't have a shot where part of the wheel itself is not in view.

I love 360 Forged, they make some amazing stuff and great looking car btw.

I think this is a very good attempt.

Thanks guys. This photo wasn't taken with an "ad" in mind, hence the wheel being cut off by the fender a little... I was looking through old photo's for one I could play around with and this was my best choice (not a lot to choose from).

Anyway, thanks for the input. :)

I think it looks good with what you had to work with.
Since it wasnt intended to be an AD shoot, I think it looks good.
Of course like everyone else said, if you were shooting it for an AD then you shouldnt have cut the wheel off.

I give it an 8/10

ya i definately like the color tone of the picture as well as the pop to the wheel by having everything else out of focus while you have that section in focus. i say good job.

i think you need to use a better tool to resize, notice the aliasing on the lines. and that severely detracts from the shot

i think people on these forums are semi-snobs and have nothing nice to say about decent work and do nothing but nit pick, thanks for your input.

In the future, do not ask for comments if you do not want them.

try and say something decent before ripping apart my work. now i know it'll take a lot of effort, so reach down deep... can you even do it? what is there somewhat decent about this shot?

or is it so garbage there's nothing decent to say?

99% of the comments on this forum are people just absolutey ripping apart others work (not just mine) i observe this with most other post too... nothing but nitpicking and negative b.s to say...

kinda getting sick of it.

EDIT: and I resized on photoshop, doesn't get much better then that. friend.

You know that's what critic is all about. I'm not trying to be an ******* or anything but i think I you should get it over with just like what I did. If you see some people with horrible photography trying to make bad comments about your photo, then just plainly ignore it. You could also pick some photos out of his gallery and laugh at it, if that's your thing haha :)

Learn from the suggestions. When I saw your pic, the only thing i see that needs changing is your lens. Shooting something that close would distort everything and for automotive ads, it's definitely not a good thing. If you want to do wide angle, try going lower (probably all the way to the ground) and it should make the car look more aggressive.

see this bro, i don't mind. good, decent, suggestive info

when ppl say, "your PP'ing is out of wack and ruined a otherwise decent photo", just comes across as angry people with nothing either nice, or helpfull to say.

i don't even see waht this other cat kchau is saying, just nitpciking to me.

i didnt rip apart your work, i just said, get a new tool, because you are getting aliasing, instead of me saying your picture sucks, i told you what is wrong, and chances are, if that happened here, and you are completely oblivious of it, someone will say it, if not me, in the future. i will really rip apart your work if you want me to:

1. wheel is cut off by fender/bumper - if you are making the subject the wheel, why cut it off? this is like taking a picture of a person and leaving the top of their head off of the crop.

2.i see jaggies on the wheels, that is aliasing, if your subject is the wheels, and you have jaggies, that is like taking a picture of converging lines and having the edges look like saw blades.

3. it is too centered, my eyes are attracted to the blurred out part of the front of the car. follow the rule of thirds

4. your edit is nice, however the way you do it is very distracting, because the reflections on the car are more in focus than some parts of the picture, if you want to make it better, get less depth of field and repeat.

5. you have a dark spot above the side skirts on the rear passenger door, now that i have found it, it takes away from the picture.

6. because your depth of field is so big, you have unnecessary reflections on the car that detract away from it.

on a side note: do not tell me that i have ripped apart your work, especially when it is something as simple as a quick software change, i can do much worse than that, and i wanted to see what your work looks like without having jaggies everywhere. the average person would have just thrown the file back into photoshop and re export it, instead of wasting time flaming someone who pointed out something very detrimental to your work. if you are going to ask for comments, you will get both good and bad, do not flame them because you opened your own can of worms. the people that post in this thread take the time to say something that can help you improve, and you shoot them down, how do you think they feel? stop being so cynical and try to learn from what you asked for.

in short, flaming someone for no reason is one thing, flaming someone who offered their time to point something out when you asked for them to say something is a completely different.

Wow, all this fuss over a very specific comment about aliasing that could have been easily addressed by trying a different resizing algorithm.

You are not cut out for this if that's all it takes to set you off.

I think it looks great. I love those wheels. Your car looks badass man. I like the colors of the pic, and I like the cool idea. Only thing I would do is get a little lower to the ground. I love slammed car pics when the camera is low.

good job man

yet another post of nothing but s h * t to say... whats w/ this forum?!?!?!?

You know what bro... for someone that just got their camera 3 months ago and photoshop shortly thereafter, I think I have PLENTY of what it takes.

looked at your site and every single shot of yours is boring, and you seem to have a thing for guns/violence...

my 3 months of work, vs. your what, how many years? I think i have more talent per cell in my body then you'll ever amount to

Watch me in 5 years.

so this is how you are going to try and redeem yourself? by criticizing other people's work?

you have no place here if you are not willing to accept with people have to say and learn from it. especially if you come out and say that you are better than everyone here. then who is better than you to help you? you think you have what it takes to go pro? have you even been under the pressure of going on assignment? you have no background to fall back on and no experience in various fields of photography, from what we see, you parked your car in a carpark, spent a half hour framing your shot, and then doing the rest in PP, what about the people who have fractions of a second to frame and capture? what about people who risk their lives to capture a shot, what about people who do it for a living?

how are you to say that everything sucks, when you dont know the story behind each and every photo?
