Here's a shot of the now infamous Dealey Plaza, as seen from the Oswald's alleged snipers nest on the 6th floor of the Texas Book Depository building:

Very nicely done :).
Do they have tours through the building now?

Yes, they do. The building is now a museum. This was actually shot from the 7th (top) floor. The 6th floor is heavily secured and they really frown on photography. The glass on the 6th floor is also "mottled" so it's impossible to get a shot that looks decent. The window that Oswald shot out of, is also cordoned off, so by going to the 7th floor, I was able to get the same window, only one floor higher and with much clearer glass, so a much better shot.

Hmm, I was going to say, the perspective looked slightly off.
Why is the window cordoned off? Is it preserved in the state that it was in '63?
Regardless, wonderful shot. I'll shut up now :D.

ha... yeah, the window is preserved to show it the way it was left in 63.
By the way, as I was standing here to take this shot today... I noticed a security guard standing right next to me (thought I was going to get hassled about photography, although I hadn't shot anything yet) and then I turn around and find Arnold Schwarzenegger standing right next to me! Ha! Couldn't believe, shook his hand and said "Hi". I'm guessing he was in town today for the NBA All-Stars game. Anyways, after he left, I then took this shot and a couple of others before being thrown out. LOL

I was lined up to get paid at MCRD in San Diego that day. Wish I'd had a camera for that, cause nobody anywhere, ever, has ever got a shot of several hundred Marines crying like babies. :)

Very cool. I've lived in Texas all my life and been to Dallas countless times but just finally went there a few months ago. I didn't go into the depository. Have to do that soon.
