Not just published, My photo made the front page!

As many of you know I work with a greyhound rescue, and they hosted a dog show as part of a larger country fair on sunday. Obviously I did a bit of photography for them...

Well the local newspaper said they were doing an article on the fair so I agreed to let them use the photos I took of the class winners if it would help get the rescue some more publicity. Well, one photo made the front page and the others were used as part of a very favourable article! Plus some of the class winners want prints :)

Result. Feeling pretty good now.

Congratulations Richard. Well done!

There are several rescued Greyhounds around here and I see them when I am out walking with my dog. The owners take them out to the local ball fields where they can run in a fenced area.

They are simply awesome to watch at full flight.

This is proof that the papers want newsworthy shots, not technically and compositionally correct shots. It may not be a good shot, but there is a story there - classwinner of 'Dog looks most like it owner...' :)
