I shot this at iso 1600 then tried to reduce the noise in pse 3. How did I do?

I think the noise removal worked well, from what this compressed image can show, anyway. Why shoot at ISO 1600? With a tripod you could shoot at ISO 100 and have a nice long exposure with no noise. Was it just an exercise in noise removal? I like the, picture, by the way. Very interesting subject.

Thanks for the feedback. Actually I was working with the white ballance and just playing around with the iso settings to get a shutter speed that I could hand hold.
