Hello people!

I was reading through my G3 user manual yesterday and came across this feature called an ND filter, which wasn't on the G1 and G2 I think. It's really great! You can limit the incoming light with it, which allows you to use a really slow shutter speed even during the day and have the pictures still come out correctly exposed.

I have posted one of the photos which I took of a nearby waterfall this morning: http://www.haussonnenschein.com/images/falls.jpg
I have always wanted to take shots like this, but never really new how. Now if I can only improve my composition, I'll be all set.
Does anyone else have any shots they took using the ND filter? I would love to see them.

Wow, that's a real nice picture. Did you do any post processing on it? The water has a nice 'glow' to it. I haven't used my ND filter yet, but I'm starting to get inspired to do so.

The actual photo was much larger. I cropped out about half of it which was in the sun and over exposed. Next time I will go in the late afternoon or early morning. As far as post processing, the whole shot was a bit too bright, so I reduced the brightness a few notches and increased the contrast a few too using photoshop. My shutter speed was 2 seconds I think, and I used a polarizer and UV filter.
