It was late in the day, and starting to lose light for the 70-200 f4...(My first outing with this lens)

These are precious pictures -- good composition, nice colors and good light too. Next time you might want to try a wider aperture so that you'll blur the background and have less background clutter.

I'll have to check the EXIF, but it was actually pretty dim at that time. (even though it doesn't look it.) I may have been @ f4 already. :(
