That is an awesome shot, just perfect, what settings did you use and did you use a tripod?

That was 30 seconds, f/11, iso100, manual focus, on a tripod. used my 70-300 f/4-5.6 set at 70mm.

It is overcropped unfortunately because the left side if the very left edge of the picture. I wish I had the camera an inch to the left :(

cool! its fun to get the first one huh..lol
my first one was taken on film and out my bottom floor window aiming over trees and stuff and i caught like 1/2 inch on film of a lightning bolt and the background looked purple..lol the ugliest lightning pic i saw so far is the first one i took lol
needless to say ive progressed a little..heres one i took 2nd day i had the camera..
got lucky!
