Studio lighting self portrait with a twist

Hi, this was last nights experimentation with my new Lumin8 F400s and softboxes. I like wearing vintage clothes and I'm shooting a project at the moment called modern vintage (see www.nikbartram.co.uk/blog) so I wanted to try out my new lights. Let me know what you think.

Very clean shots. I like the detail on the navy suit, but boy, I have to really strain to see it! Dark colors are pretty hard to shoot--that's a given.

Cheers Dave, yes you're right of course! Dark colours can be a nightmare. I've opened this photo on my flickr site so you can view it extra large and see all the detail. Let me know what you think.
