Since 4th of July is this weekend (well Monday) .. I am just looking to gather some tips/techniques on how to capture fireworks... What works best??...

Any Tips & Suggestions greatly appreciated...

Just answered this question in another thread. As a recap, use a tripod and, hopefully, a remote release. Set to Manual mode, ISO-100, f/16 or so, Bulb shutter speed. Open shutter when rocket is launched, close shutter after the burst finishes dying out.

Chimp the shot, see if it is bright enough. If too bright, close down the aperature (higher numbers) and try again. If too dark, open up the aperature (lower numbers) and try again. You should get plenty of opportunities.

Also, manually focus the lens to infinity or thereabouts.
