I am going to a buddy's concert next Saturday at Wente Winery and was wondering if I could get some tips on what settings I should used on my 20D ? The condert is from 1 - 5 pm, so there should be ample light ( the weather here in the Bay Area has been fantastic as of late ).

I plan on bringing both my 17-85mm ( f/4-5.6 IS USM ) and EF70-200 F4L USM lenses ( with extender ), and will probably bring my Speedlite 550EX flash. I don't anticipate that fast of action, but I am sure the guys will be bouncing around. Any tips on the settings so I can get clear shots ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Very much a noobie with my gear and have not had a lot of practice with it.

Thanks !

Come back and tell us how it went, what problems you had, what successes, and show some images. Love to have you over in the thread Aam listed! :-)

Thanks, will do that once I look up how you all post pictures here :) The concert is from 1 to 5 pm, so I am pretty sure the lighting should be fantastic. I am going to use my flash anyway and see if that helps fill in any light ( if needed ).

I spoke to a friend suggested that I just leave the camera in full auto mode. Any thoughts about that ?
